Assemblymembers need to sign on to the letter of support!
As you know, Governor Spitzer is a supporter of full public financing of election campaigns for New York State. Unfortunately, the Assembly has supported a weaker, partial public funding measure. NOW we need Assemblymembers to state their support for FULL public financing, Clean Elections! They can do so by signing on to the "Dear Colleague" letter that is now being circulated for signatures. The letter clearly states support for full, over partial, public financing. Take this action to send a fax to your Assembly member asking them to sign on to the letter in support of full public financing that is now being sent around by Assembly Felix Ortiz's office!

Support Full Funding of SCHIP
President Bush wants to stop a bipartisan push for health care for America’s kids – and New York’s kids too. He has threatened to veto any bill that expands the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to cover more of America’s 9 million uninsured children – despite majority votes in the House and Senate to do just that. That’s the successful federal program that New York – prodded by Citizen Action and its allies – used to create Child Health Plus, a program that now covers nearly 400,000 children and keeps them healthy. Take action now to urge Senators Clinton and Schumer and your Congressional representative to support full funding of SCHIP!
