Congress: Extend Unemployment Insurance

When congress returns to Washington the week of November 15th, their top priority must be to extend unemployment insurance through 2011. Benefits are set to expire on November 30th. If Congress doesn't act, 2 million workers will lose their unemployment insurance in December alone.

America can't afford this. Unemployment payments go directly back into the economy, helping local business and creating jobs. Prematurely ending benefits for millions of Americans will devastate our economy, especially during the holiday season.
