When: Thursday, September 28, 11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Where: 1199SEIU Headquarters, 155 Washington Avenue
This summit, one of many happening across New York in cooperation with NY State of Health, will bring together community leaders and stakeholders to prepare for the upcoming open enrollment season, with a particular emphasis on the “hard-to-reach” individuals who are still uninsured. And, we’re adding a new element this year: a focus on post-enrollment challenges – helping people use their insurance effectively and getting them help if disputes arise.
Lunch will be provided. As space is limited, registration is required in advance and ensures that you will get the agenda and follow-up materials.
Over 2.8 million New Yorkers have already enrolled in our state marketplace, NY State of Health, and are receiving free or low-cost health insurance. It's important that we continue to build on this success for the 4th year of open enrollment, which begins on November 1st, and also make sure community members can use their insurance effectively!
We encourage representatives of community-based non-profits and service organizations, health care advocates, small businesses, navigators and CACs, healthcare facilities, unions and health plans from the Capital Region, the upper Hudson Valley and Northern New York to attend the summit.
